A Look at the Maiden Season of the Viking Mira
The new 998-passenger Viking Mira will launch its maiden season in early June with a seven-night Western Mediterranean cruise from Civitavecchia, following delivery to Viking from Fincantieri’s Ancona shipyard. As the 13th oceangoing ship in Viking’s series that began with Viking Star in 2015, Mira’s inaugural program focuses on Mediterranean itineraries before expanding to other regions.

AIDAsol has celebrated 15 years in service with AIDA Cruises, having entered operation on March 31, 2011 as the fifth ship in the Sphinx class. Built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, the 71,000-ton vessel is noted for its high proportion of balcony cabins and family-friendly features, and continues to sail popular Northern Europe and Baltic itineraries for the German market.
